Group therapy is exploratory, being tailored to what each person brings for discussion. My aim with group therapy is to offer you a different perspective of interacting, with an invitation into self-discovery within a supportive and likeminded setting.
I offer small groups of between four to six people for a period of ten weeks, meeting once a week at the same time on the same day of the week.
You will be able to listen to others sharing their life experiences, this may in turn lead you to sharing your experiences and perhaps not feeling so alone with them. With this you can be safe in the knowledge that you are in a secure, confidential and supported environment.
Group members will remain the same for the duration of the group and at the beginning of each week, each member will be able to have a brief “check” in to let the group know about what’s been happening in their world outside the therapy room.
So whether you are new to therapy or have had therapy before, group therapy can be a more affordable option than individual therapy.
