Group supervision at The Wave Clinic provides a supportive, professionally enriching space for therapists to reflect on their clinical work alongside colleagues. Working within a small group enables participants to benefit not only from supervision of their own client work. It is also based on the shared knowledge, experience, and perspectives of others.

Each group is intentionally limited to 3–4 therapists, allowing sufficient time for everyone to bring their work while fostering meaningful discussion and reflective practice. The small group size creates a safe, collaborative environment in which participants can deepen their clinical thinking, develop confidence, and enhance their professional practice.

Group supervision is suitable for qualified therapists and psychotherapists, as well as therapists-in-training who are required to undertake group supervision as part of their professional development. Whether you are newly qualified or have many years of clinical experience, the collective wisdom of the group often provides fresh perspectives that may not emerge in individual supervision alone.

Our groups are underpinned by the same values that guide all of our work: respect, curiosity, collaboration, and ethical practice. We encourage thoughtful reflection on the therapeutic relationship, clinical process, ethical considerations, and the impact of the work on the therapist.

Why such small groups?
We intentionally limit our supervision groups to just three or four participants to maintain the quality of the supervisory experience. This ensures every member has protected time to present their work, contribute to discussion, and receive meaningful feedback. Smaller groups also foster trust, psychological safety, and the development of deeper professional relationships, creating an environment where reflective practice can flourish.

If you are interested in joining a group, please get in touch to discuss availability and whether the group is the right fit for your current stage of practice.
